I looked through your galleries and kinda found it a little repetitive with your wonderful self portraits. You are so pretty and yet most shots show the same thing.
Same lighting, same pose, more or less. Yet... all kinda sexy still.
It's not like you've changed much. (at all)
But... excellent pictures none the less.
Welcome to Toronto.

I like the concept of your self portraits and think it's really well thought out. I also enjoyed your landscape photos. What a beautiful area and a good eye.

Portraits are hard... self portraits are VERY hard. The fact you have posted so many, rather telling, images of yourself suggests a deep, thoughful and complex psychology which is somewhat ellusive. It's sort of like voyuerism... it's not what you see which matters... it's what you DON"T see that generates the emotive response. I find this more appealing than the allusive erotisism of your portraits. Personally, being an old, pudgy, white guy, I try to completely hide from the camera... although recently my shadow has been creeping into the corners of a few of my shots. No doubt... your long legs and lithe body form makes for good imagery... somewhat reminecent of Enya's first album cover... but it's your coy smile and oddly enough, you hands... which seem to interest me most.

Other than to say your ranch is breathtakingly beautiful, I really cannot comment on the landscapes. I am unqualified in that realm.

I've been looking at your photos for several months now, and I think I finally have something other than 'ooh pretty' to say. I've enjoyed the self portrait series. It’s nice. But there was something bugging me about them, just kinda niggling at me. It’s not one thing; it's two. The high key is nice, occasionally. I know you want to be comfortable using a technique before you learn a new one, but I think it's time to move on to a different lighting source. The second thing will sound silly. It is silly. It's the makeup. Your skin is so luminescent it glows. It's beautiful. But your face loses that glow. I'd suggest a light powder instead of a foundation if you continue with this kind of lighting. You're so pretty but the flawless cover hides your natural radiance. I'd love to see a close up of your eyes.

I agree with everyone else...your landscape photographs are gorgeous. I haven't developed an eye for that yet.

Hey Gina, neet website here. I came looking here from DA to see if you had any more landscape photos, but I saw this one self portrait of yours I think is totally amazing, #5 http://www.pbase.com/ginalorinda/image/38388060 It must be the hair, and the way to frames your gorgeous visage in that shot, oh and you look sweet in the green dress, not cruel at all ;) he he anyways I'll keep scanning your DA site for more submissions, man I absolutely love your landscapes, you have a great eye for beauty girl.

PS. What do you make of this new North America United agreement that took place in Waco Texas here last week? Seems like every time we make an agreement with the US Gov, we give abit of ground, they take it happily and we get a smiley hand shake in return and some kind words. Sounds like Mexico got squat too. Interesting anyways, and I figure since you are a bright mind in this kind of subjects I would love to hear what you thinks.

Cheers Gina!

Mars out!

Thanks for the kind words on my gallery Gina. You have some great stuff here too. The Canadian Rockies are beautiful. Nice work with the self portraits. They aren't the easiest to do I'm finding.

You've got some beautiful scenery all around you, almost as nice as your self portaits.
