I recall reading about and seeing images in National Geographic magazine in the last couple of years more or less referencing the Cormorant fishermen. It's an extremely interesting coexistence between man and beast for the livelihood of the master foremost. Your images are better.

i was always scared of china, i thought it was always going 2 b like the china i saw in rush hour- this is amazing i love china naturalness. The photographer has dun a magical job of capturing the beauty of china.

Ok folks, this is it. I don't hand out accolades much but this guy is the real deal. If there is one photographer I would love to be able to duplicate for landscape imagery, Gil is that photographer. Your photos are stunning, the color, the subjects, the lighting, etc. all of it.. And to think I've been to China twice, within four Provinces and actually saw some of this scenery and life exactly like this.. Three of the places I've been to and have great pictures are Guizhou Province which is close to the Province where some of your pictures were taken, Hong Kong and Beijing where of course I went to the Great Wall, etc . Your pictures are wonderful.

Excellent Gallery! I'm quite impressed. The light, contrast, composition, etc. Just perfect! Your picture almost talks! Though, you've specifically mentioned it in the China gallery, do you use HDR on almost all images eventhough it is not mentioned? For e.g. Israel, Budapest, Tel-Aviv, Macro, etc. Do you use HDR from CS2 or by Photomatix Pro or their pluggins? How about the F717 gallery? How well does it work on Portrait, indoor & artificial light? Thanks for sharing!

The word "landscapes" doesn't really describe these images (for me). They go beyond that. Maybe "dreamscapes" would be more appropriate? I don't know, but these are exceptionally beautiful no matter what they might be called.

Hi there Gil. I discovered you gallery when you first rocketed to the top of the popular galleries list. I wanted to comment then but found myself lacking the necesary words to describe them. I figured that the right things to say would come to me after a few weeks but alas, I am still speechless.
