This is Erlangen, from my point of view. This is a charming little city in Germany. I come here once or twice a year as requested by my employer. Last time I was here, I did not take the time to walk and explore the city.
I was looking for a unique and accurate way to describe the city, but nothing comes to mind. I leave it up to you to formulate your own opinion based on my pictures.
Feel free to add your comments and opinions as you see images!
I may be mistaken, but I think the old guy with a crown on his head is noted erlangen character, Pinzel, who paints portraits of the city. He has a studio on (I think) Westliche stadtmauerstrasse-just down the street from the main square.

Hi Gil,
I came across this site by accident. I was stationed in Erlangen in the Army 1966-68. I formed an emotional attachment to Erlangen, and have returned several times. You may be interested in a book I wrote on the history of the city (in English). It is entitled: Erlangen-An American's History of a German Town.
