Lu Xun (born September 25, 1881, Shaoxing, Zhejiang province, China—died October 19, 1936, Shanghai) was a Chinese writer,
commonly considered the greatest in 20th-century Chinese literature,
who was also an important critic known for his sharp and unique essays on the historical traditions and modern conditions of China.
