We find this wall-sign on top of the entrance of Willem Vroesenhuis. This foundation was a home for old aged men until 1977. The top of this object shows two old men carrying the weapon of Gouda.
The motto "Spartam Nacti" means "They reached Sparta" and refers to the function of this building.
