Sorry I have been so slow in replying to your comment on my use of the TCON300. O have for find the rubber ring you mention, and for me it is a Drive Nozzle belt from a Kirby G5 Vacuum Cleaner.
The other modification I made was to replace the current tripod screw with a longer (Whitworth) screw. It is easy enough to remove the current camera screw by unscrewing the three fine screws and removing the platform area and easing off the circlip. I have put away the original Olympus part so I can put it back if I decide to sell the TCON300 on soetime in the future. The only other thing I did to adapt it was to make a small 4mm platform for the Fuji S602/7000 to sit on to raise it so that it focuses central to the accessory lens on the support.

Great site you have! can I ask you one quick question please? I purchased the TCON 300 to use in exactly the same fashion with my Fuji s7000 after reading and looking at your testing photo's which were GREAT!! that was all I needed to go get this lens!
My question is regarding the rubber ring that slides forward to 'bridge' the gap between the camera and the TCON 300. I foolishly assumed that the ring came with the lens! can you tell me where I can get one the same as yours please? I am hoping that it will help a little reducing some purple fringing and bridge that gap!
