This nocturnal Knobble spider succesfully subdued a jack-jumper ant in about 2 seconds- it jumped on the ant, bit it, jumped off
within a fraction of a second, and the ant died apparently immediately. The spider then dragged the ant off the nest.
I am unaware of any other spiders that take on this rather fearsome prey.
