Brown tree frog, Rawlinsonia ewingi

Cradle Valley, Tasmania, Australia

Being well camouflaged is useless when your eyes shine in torchlight, as this frog discovered as it sat on a tree in Cradle Valley.
Tasmanian brown tree frogs are active on most nights but rarely seen because of their secretive nature. Given the snack status
frogs enjoy with various snakes, quolls, and birds, not being seen is something that frogs are usually good at.
