I have been looking for and at reptiles for over forty years, and I have never before seen a sight like this one at Lake St. Clair in
Tasmania. These are wild reptiles, and the two lizard species are certainly potential prey for the Tiger snake, yet they almost seem
dangerously curious about it. The snake slithered off, but whether it was because it knew once it had been seen there was no point
chasing the lizards or whether I frightened it I don't know.
I do know it is odd to get three species of reptile in such proximity in the wild, and I was pleased to get a photo.
