Hedd Wyn's statue. Posthumosly awarded the bardic chair in the National Eisteddfod of 1917 in Birkenhead, the shepherd/poet became an icon to represent the lost generation of young Welshmen killed in WW1. An Oscar nominated film was made about him in 1992.
