Dornier 215 WNr 0023. VB+KK, 2/Aufklarungsgruppe 121
An old photo of Do215 which was returning from a reconnaissance mission to evaluate damage to Liverpool in October 1940. It was shot down near Trawsfynydd by a Spitfire piloted by Pilot Officer Dennis A. Adams, from B Flight of 611 Squadron detached from Tern Hill to Ringway. Three of the four-man crew survived namely, Felt Webeln, Kurt Jensen and Hans Kuhl. The fatality was 26 year old engineer, Unteroffizier Gustav Pelzer - he was the first enemy aircrew member to be buried in north Wales. (Reference - "No Landing Place" Pub. 1999, by Edward Doylerush)
