“Learning has been part of my lifestyle ever since I can remember” says Jack Gottheil. “It is a daily occurrence which can take many forms: in reading an article, attending a lecture, seeing a movie.” Before retiring as a Sales Representative in 1982 from a Montreal based importing firm whose principal source of merchandise was the Orient, Jack became actively involved in Community organizations, principally the Allied Jewish Community Services (now the CJA Federation), Golden Age Association and later by the Project Genesis in the Cote-Des-Neiges area. Most appropriately he describes himself as: “Caring, questioning and dedicated.” No one would contest this! An art lover, Jack is revered by his fellow lifelong learners who hold in high esteem his valued opinion.
