May 20th was the first early summer like day of the year and luckily it also was a holiday ( Christi Himmelfahrt/ Ascension Day). The perfect condition to start this year's hiking season!
We decided to climb the Hochstaff( 1305m/4350ft.) and the Reisalpe( 1399m/4665m), a total gain in altitude of about 700m/2300ft.
Starting point was the Ebenwaldhoehe( 1000m/3300ft.). The area is located about one hour car ride west of Vienna.
