Michelle DeFord of Colton, OR, is the mother of Sgt. David W. Johnson of the Oregon National Guard. David was killed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in Iraq on September 25, 2004. Michelle is a Gold Star Mom and a member of Military Families Speak Out.
