The Banff townsite was hazy most of the day, but it was a little better towards sunset, so I don't know if the haze was due to the fires. The haze was much worse at Glacier National Park, where fires have closed most of the park. Lake Louise was fine.

... did you go to banff recently??... we are returning for the third time right at the end of auguest... how was the haze situation in the park (due to fires)... how was the situation higher up in lake louise?/
