A Group 1-DSC_0558_DSC_0577-20 images copy.jpg

Queen Victoria Building, Sydney, Australia

The main reason we went to the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) yesterday was to test a 10-24mm lens. In fact, some single frames were taken and of those a few will be found in Galleria Wideangulus. In themselves they show different colours used between 2007 and now. However, being on site as it were, we regarded it an excellent time to try out new software and to launch into the brick wall concept and this pano is the first attempt. It is offered simply as a work in progress, faults and all.

With hind sight it seems possible, even probable that we could have more successfully attempted a less difficult subject, being near or below four matching arches and curves all over the place. The absence of a tripod was at least unfortunate and hand holding for a twenty frame conical image 4 layers high perhaps over-ambitious……..but hey, that’s what its all about, isn’t it??. Our technocrat lady Pamela has suggested some technical remedial steps that could be tried to correct the mismatches on the right hand arch. These may well improve the image but only in skilled hands such as those of the aforementioned Pamela and not those of aged stumbling followers. Time precludes this and therefore this image is offered unaltered except in size. Comments, favourable or otherwise are welcome.
