We two In Mates are delighted to welcome an Other Mate to Galleria Rusticana. Brother Grant is a man of many parts, of which one is a serious interest in photography. His profession is outdoors as a Landscape Gardener with side interests in carpentry et al.
He is known to us because he happens to mow Robaires lawns in an otherwise spectacularly un-landscaped garden which he is currently showing little interest in addressing even tho his limping friend implored some work during the now long gone winter.
Known during the summer as the man with the shortest shorts around, he is completely wired for sound, wearing under his Stetson and ear muffs an earpiece to his sound system and another to his phone. He also believes an under-reving lawnmower is to be avoided at all costs,
paying little attention to the owners or the neighbours……..but that’s enough praise.
Grant and Robaire have/do/will discuss cameras at length and usually looking at pics on the 27” Imac in Rob’s bolt hole. It is not a total coincidence that he is interested in digital long zoom bridge cameras and takes them everywhere and to Hawaii in 2009, perhaps his most recent OS trip.
Robaire asked him to provide some pics of Pearl Harbour as it is now, to be shown in our Gallery on this beautifully tragic place first seen by Rob in the sixties when there was the sunken Arizona and little above water or aground to be seen.
We are presenting a selection of pics below which show all sorts of techniques and we particularly refer you to the Pearl Harbour link……..where Grant’s images have been interspersed in the almost fifty year old images of his Frugal Friend…….Our lady Pamela will explain that to you.
Welcome to our new Other Mate’s gallery.
