This small beetle was one of several that came to the lights while looking for moths one night at FWG. It is in the Carabidae Family (Ground beetles), in the Genus Lebia (colurful foliage ground beetles). According to Bug Guide, these small (about 2.5mm) beetles prey on other insects. They overwinter as adults.
