Painted lady (Vanessa cardui) on Comfrey

This is only the second Painted lady butterfly I have seen in Ottawa this year. They are never as common as the American lady butterfly, at least in my experience. This was a bit worn and appeared to be entirely focused on finding nectar. I watched it go from Canada thistle, to this comfrey, to New England Aster, exploring all the flowers on each plant cluster.
