NYPD Police Officer medal rack

An NYPD Police Officer's badge mounted in a medal rack. These racks hold the various awards and medals that can be won by officers.

The medals in this particular rack are, from top to bottom; the commerative American flag bar, the Medal for Valor, the Honorable Mention Medal, a Unit Citation from 1990, and a Irish Police Union medal.

(The badge number has been edited out to protect any officer that may have carried this badge, but the name on the nametag has been left as the name is my own!)

If this is your rack you may be a bit upset that you do not have the medal for valor. That's the US Flag Bar, Hnorable Mention, Commendation, Unit Citation, and a novlety Irish bar - the PBA which is our union doesn't have a bar. The emerald society doesn't as well. CB Retired MOS
