Lord Ganesha, one of the Hindu Gods and also knowns as the Remover of Obstacles.
He is worshipped prior to every major work or project that is undertaken.
The most recurrent motif in the stories on Lord Ganesha
is that he was born with a human head and body
and that Shiva beheaded him when Ganesha came between Shiva and Parvati.
Shiva then replaced Ganesha's original head with that of an elephant.
