Like a giant blue tongue of ice and rock flowing out from Mount Aoraki (Mount Cook to us English speakers).
The Fox glacier is a fantasic place in the Westland National Park in NZ's South Island.
Unfortunatly due to continuous torrential rain for 2 days we were not able to get up close and personal with the ice due to flooding and rockfalls in the glacial valleys . . . next time.
