I have, for some time, hidden the rather obscene comments that were posted regarding Marino's character. This website is about my photography and the musicians I've been lucky enough to befriend, listen to again and again and, if I'm lucky, sometimes work with to create an album cover/insert. As it turns out, as the real story of Marino’s rip off schemes played out in the courts, I found that I could only be grateful that I was never the victim of his various schemes. Marino was always fair and kind to me, paid his bill AHEAD of time and I thought I had discovered one of those rare gems in the world of rock n’ roll. Sadly, this turned out to not be true. Marino is now serving up to an 8 year sentence in the Nevada jail system and will probably be deported back to England when he gets out. Good! I feel sorry for those he bilked out of tens of thousands of dollars. I “think” I feel sorry for his lovely wife though she surely must have known and perhaps even been party to (though, to the best of my knowledge, she was not charged with any complicity) his Ponzi schemes. I must say though, he was a great guitar player.
