Springtime at Home
With sunshine and warm days, we are enjoying real spring weather here in Oregon. I thought this shot expresses it well.

Bald Eagle Nest Sitting
The bald eagle pair again has their nest near the top of Skinner Butte. There must be eggs because the eagle is sitting patiently in the nest, which by the way is huge. It may not look so big here because it is at such a distance from where we can view it. It took long lens to get out there and the result was still cropped. At least, I was able to get a picture.

Doorway to Paradise
What do you think of my doorway to Paradise? Can you tell what it is? I imagined the possibilities in this scene when I first saw it, and hope I conveyed the idea effectively.
What you see is a pop machine with a beautiful scene on the front. It stands along the wall of the arena at the stables where our daughter boards her horses.
To me, it looks like a doorway or opening in the wall so that the scene appears to be beyond it.

Makayla and Sara
I went to the stables with our oldest daughter, Angie, and some of our grandkids.
This is her daughter, Makayla, with Angie's horse, Sara. They are both camera shy. :)

Oak Tree And Sunrise
Couldn't resist this view of the sunrise from the top of Skinner Butte.
The silhouette of the oak tree I found very appealing.

Take A Flying Leap!
I watched this heron as it fished among the rocks below a dam. Here it is leaping from one rock to another.
I also got a shot of it with a fish in its beak, and will post that one soon.

Foggy Morning Along the Tracks
We do have our share of foggy mornings. Sometimes it can make an attractive scene.

Beautiful Blossoms
The cherry blossoms are out.
A number of Japanese Cherry trees have been planted around town along the streets and they certainly beautify the city.
We need to enjoy them now, because with a good rain they will fall and can look like pink snow on the ground.

Anna's Hummingbird
This is the first hummingbird I have ever photographed and is one of a half dozen shots I got before it left. My bird book shows only two types of hummers, one being the Anna's Hummingbird. This one has that gorgeous purple throat shown in the picture accompanying that designation. The bird was in Delta Ponds.

Artistic Window Display
I was attracted to this nice display back in the shadows in the window of an antique store.
The light on the painting and the surrounding darkness made a nice contrast.

Genteel Gentleman
I met and enjoyed visiting with this nice gentleman at Delta Ponds. He lives nearby and visits often. Will likely see him again sometime.

Yellow-rumped Warbler
I was excited to see this bird at Delta Ponds. I couldn't find anything exactly like it in my bird book.
Thanks to all who identified it as a yellow-rumped warbler!
Photo was shot in DX mode and then cropped.
