I thought I would post another view of the bird I posted as yesterday's PAD. This one shows the beautiful colors of the wings, perhaps helping with the ID. It has been identified as a juvenile House Finch.

I looked at these two shots for a while today, and I agree on the ID of juvenile House Finch. From the front view I would have expected more streaking on the breast and flanks, but I don't know what else it would be! Nice capture.

Vern, it looks like a juvenile female house finch to me, though you can see from the front. But the bill and feathers look like a JFHF.
