Royal Terrace Falls

My friend, John, and I traveled to McDowell Creek Park this morning and visited two of the falls in the park.
This one, Royal Terrace Falls, is quite interesting as it cascades down what looks like terraces.
There is a stone stairway to the top alongside the falls. It is a pretty steep climb.

Interesting pic. Difficult to get an idea of scale until you notice the tree-trunk bottom left. I take it my namesake didn't fancy scrambling down and posing at the bottom...

It's nice to see this much water. Although I have seen Royal Terrace Falls during winter, I've usually been there at other times when the flow was almost nonexistent.
