Nice gallery Virginia...

I especially enjoyed the copper pots on the second page. Kinda reminded me of something Mom might have painted.

I was alerted to your website through the Wellesley 62 class email and really enjoyed seeing your pictures. They are excellent! I especially enjoyed Paris which is my favorite city too and Boston where I have lived for the past 35 years. Best wishes for continued success with your photography!

Just a note to let you know that I am having great success with my new G5. That, combined with Photoshop's RAW converter sttings, is doing wonders for blues.

Lovely photos of Boston. I was there about two months ago after been away for almost twenty years. The city has retained it spirit and charm and the recent additions have positvely added to the character of the cityhttp://www.pbase.com/selvin/boston.

As a great walking city we were like kids in a candy store. I decided to start a Freedom trail collection and although a bit hurried was able to get a sense of those times.

Thanks for sharing your city. Aloha

You have a wonderful eye, Virginia. Each of your galleries yields new delights. Your compositions of everyday subject matter open our eyes to the world we pass by, unnoticed and unseen. Bravo!

Thanks for your comments John. Most of the pictures have not been manipulated except to adjust contrast and brightness. The G5 does a very nice job in the macro mode. There is too much noise at the higer ISO levels, so good light -- which I had for the wine glass picture -- really helps. Overall, I am really pleased with the camera. Va.

Hi Virginia:

Just a note to let you know that I very much enjoyed visiting your galleries. Are the photos taken by the Canon G5 straight from the camera or have you processed some of them. The G5 seems to be particulary sharp and crisp on your indoor shots. The wine glass reflection is a good example.
