The Window To The Soul

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The scientific method of analysing the eye, studies the iris and the patterns and structures within it. Iridologists claim that this part of the eye can reveal body health, strengths and weaknesses, and even transitions that take place in a person's body according to their way of life. I have always found facination in a person's eyes as it represents the window to a person's soul. Indeed eyes are mirrors of the soul, a person's thoughts can be ascertained by looking in his or her eyes. This shot was taken on our excursion to FRIM (Forest Research Institute of Malaysia). FRIM offers all walks of life a back-to-nature experience whilst enjoying the flora, fauna, landscapes and the remains of an old Orang Asli (the native people) settlement. A waterfall and river cutting through this forest reserve adds serenity to this luxuriant landscape. We were on our way out from the canopy trail which we took, leading to the other side of the waterfall without trails and walkway. It was a challenging walk down to the falls which we had to grip on a long pipe for support. I spotted this kid who was shivering in the midst of playing at the falls. The light was a little dim but his expression was priceless and a treasure to keep! Look into his beautiful eyes....

Beautiful picture, so much magic in it!
It is interesting that you mention iridology, not many people have ever heard about it here in the US (even in healthy California). I experienced it once when I was a teenager, and it is pretty amazingly accurate (at showing past and present medical history).
