This medallion was issued after the death of President Franklin Roosevelt.
At the time, Cyl Dunn was very active in Minnesota politics and became the first woman from that state to vote in the Electoral College. Her husband, Andrew Carnegie Dunn, was working with the United Nations' UNRRA to try to mitigate the refugee chaos that existed in 1945 Europe.
