Fremont Cathedral

Fremont Street, Las Vegas

The barrel vault over Fremont Street is very reminiscent of the pier-and-vault architecture of a Middle Ages cathedral. Compare this with more recent structures like the Washington Cathedral. Except that the piers disperse fractally to their support points, something that no 1600's architect would have understood.

This is from the west end of Fremont, looking east.
