The Joy of Cooking was one of my mother's staple reference works. Her copy in the 60's was already tattered from use.
These were baked from the recipe in the 41st edition, of 1986. Irma Rombauer's revolutionary book was first published eighty years ago to the delight of cookie monsters everywhere.
