Charles Loy Cummins | profile | all galleries >> Galleries >> National Motorcycle Museum | tree view | thumbnails | slideshow |
I traveled to the National Motorcycle Museum, Anamosa Iowa. This is a large gallery and I make comments below most of the photos. If you enjoy motorcycles please take time to see all the photos. A few photos may be followed by a supporting text image. Loads of photos, many bikes I have never seen or heard of before. This is a wonderful museum!
Motorcycles are crammed into tight spaces, so you will see bikes, stuff, junk and such in the foreground/background of most photos. This is to be expected in this type environment.
I used a Nikon D3 camera, 24/120 f4 AF-S VR and SB900 flash on all but a couple photos. I changed to the 18/35 lens on a few images. I would enjoy using my studio lighting and make photos that this amazing museum deserves, but that is not possible. I am aware there are bright areas, shadows and so on, we have to ignore this and look at the subject.
