Use Microsoft Word to find the ASCII code for text symbols.
1. The dialog box is found in the Insert drop down menu
2. Look in the general (Normal text) or select a specific font for available symbols
3. Browse the available symbols and click on selection
4. Set the code selection to ASCII(decimal)
5. Make note of the number to use to enter the symbol in Photoshop type
To create the symbol while using the Photoshop type tool,
hold down the Alt key and enter 0 plus the character code
on the numeric keypad. Example: Alt + 0169
There are all kinds of fun/useful symbols that might not be readily available
by other means within PhotoShop.
