Clear gloss on quilted maple

This is my baby. To make a long story short, right when I was in the heat of passion of planning to get a CT, this showed up on eBay and it turned out it was at my local Guitar Center. I was at the door when they opened the next day and the rest is history.

It's a little plain looking comparing to some of the more dramatic colors and bursts, but the abalone block inlays are spectacular looking and perfectly finished and it's a very classy looking guitar rather than gaudy.

I wasn't really able to photograph it, but each bridge saddle has been correctly cut for the guage of string and proper height. I'm so sick of TOM guitars that have too-high action because you end up adjusting the action to stop the lowest string from buzzing. A tom bridge is never gonna be perfect right out of the box, don't kid yourself.

From a technical point of view I'd much rather have a FT6 hardtail bridge where you can adjust each saddle properly, but if Carvin is claiming that the tom bridge and string-through-body anchors contribute to the tone, I'm not gonna argue. Joe Walsh is very impressed by the recess under the bridge so it's as low as possible, I'm a bit skeptical - but again, I would not change a thing in the design of this guitar for fear of ruining the amazingly rich tone.

Everything works together to produce a huge range of harmonically complex tones.

It's currently sporting abalone topped knobs and cream/cream pups (C22B/C22N). I've gotta get some new pics up.
