That is a beautiful afterglow from a sunset.

I always start shooting the sky about 5 minutes after the sunset begins because the sky will go through its Oranges, Reds, Pinks and Blue to purples for about 15 minutes. Each photo is magical in its own right.

That orange was turning red as the Dawgs turned the tide on us just north.
