Armed with my new toy, Canon G2, I went on this one week visit to my parents and relatives before I started my new job. This was my first field trip with it and I learned a lot of its characteristics. Beijing is a very modern city and is changing yearly, monthly, and daily. I avoided all the trendy places, instead, focusing on the traditional aspects that a first time vistor from the west would have found interesting.
