Back in sterile room, and some (nice) surprises: I am not within the miniature-sized "high-sterile" room, but within a "normal" sterile room, which is much bigger and features a toilet. Also, I can wear my contact lenses!
First thing I received was a jugular catheder, because the (one-chambered) port-a-cath doesn't provide enough throughput. The guy who did the catheder insertion did it great, I have to mention this here! (OK, OK, I received a Dormicum and so have no memory, but I don't feel the thing anymore today when writing this (050625).
The dormicum results in retrograde amnesia and so I have no memory of what happened between 14:00 and 17:30. This way, even the chemo went by without any memory - that's the way it should always be!
Anyway.
I took my notebook plus DVDs, a PSP, a Gameboy, my camera and some books with me - the MDs told me this could take up to 8 weeks...we'll see. It's a very good thing that the Tour De France is starting soon - watching the 6 h of cycling a day is great when being inside sterile room...:-)
