I spent two weeks in a private hospital in Switzerland, which is specialized in homeopathic treatment of cancer patients.

When I returned, I felt much better actually.

I decided to continue with chemo.

The protocol I was to receive (MabThera-DHAP) included 24-hour-infusions of Cisplatin.

The MDs told me that my veins were kaput and that it could become necessary to amputate my arm if some of the Cisplation did not go into my vein.

So they urged me to have a port-a-cath implanted, to which I agreed.
To have this thing implanted was one of the wisest and best decisions I ever made.
The port-a-cath makes life so much easier during chemo.

Anyway, this photo was taken some days after Port-a-cath implant (you can just see one edge of the band-aid at my right collarbone), just before first cycle of DHAP.
