Yes, I know this photograph does not show the plover well. However, I saw the blondish axillaries and heard the migrant's call. I uploaded this photograph due to its uniqueness; an American Golden Plover and Reddish Egret foraging in the same puddle on a barrier island. This sighting was the first for AGPL on the Isle Dernieres Barrier Islands Refuge for me. The fog adds an eerie theme to this scene. A puddle above the beach and mangrove skeletons were new features on Raccoon Island due to Hurricane Ike(9/13/08).
