We have evacuated near the Galveston area. We took the kids to the beach so that they could relax for a while. My favorite 4 year old enjoyed chasing the birds and the waves.

Thank you so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. They have really meant a lot to me. We are watching and waiting. My home seems to have fared well according to reports from neighbors with just some moderate damage. We are now just waiting for emergency crews to clear roads and allow access.
