House of Blues Blimp

New Orleans Superdome

When I left for the Saint's game tonight, the hurricane was heading to Florida. I had a phone call on the way to the game to let me know the track had shifted. While I was at the game, my poor sister was calling hotel after hotel trying to get a place for us to stay in case we need to evacuate. She finally found a place for us to stay. Now I just need to hope that we can cancel the reservations tomorrow!

I am way behind on my PAD and my commenting. If I am not boarding windows and packing tomorrow, I will try and catch up. School is keeping me very busy right now. It should settle down soon and everything will be back to normal.

Reading this on Tuesday, August 30, it makes me very sad because I know the new history of the Superdome......It is still hard to believe.

Nice shot, Elaine. We should have tried to rent the blimp to get us out of here.
Stu27-Aug-2005 22:24
Won't the blimp get in the players' way? I hope you all keep safe from harm.
Gary Winters27-Aug-2005 21:25

Hope you guys don't get it too badly - I'll miss seeing your folks again, since they decided to head back. It looks like it could be pretty rough down there on Monday - be safe, OK?

Good one, did they win. We will be in this afternoon.

Interesting perspective. One wonders what sort of vehicle you were in to sail over the top of the blimp. I hope the hurricane dies before it gets there. Good luck!

Great perspective. It makes it look like the blimp is part of the game. :) Good luck with the hurricane. I didn't even know there was one. So that's why we're forecasted to have rain for the next week.
