Huge Dragonfly

I know, not another dragonfly! Word must have gotten out amongst the dragonflies that I was taking free photos. This one was as big as my hand and landed right in front of me, so I had to take its picture.

If you are tired of looking at dragonflies, here is the Quiz Bowl team particpating in the 1st Annual World War II Competition at the D-Day Museum. They didn't win, but did a great job and had a lot of fun.

Great shot of this big ol' gold one. They aren't as tame as the green ones.
Coleen Perilloux Landry30-Apr-2005 03:56
Great shot of this dragonfly and it must be a very healthy one because the black is so defined on it.

Oh Elaine I will have to come back down there! I forgot the museum was in N.O, Steve Ambrose was my hero and I know he did a lot of work on the DDay museum. I have a passion for WWII and DDay in particular.

BTW keep the dragonflies coming :)

I do not think I would ever get tired of looking at them. They are so beautiful with their transparent wings and those nice glistening bodies. Nice capture. Very detailed.
