This is a selection of photos from a dayhike up Granite Mountain in July 2003. It was nice and sunny and a bit hot ascending the South facing slopes. The first portion was nicely forested but it was nice to break out of the forest into the gully so as to see the progress made. After that the hike circled around to the lookout on top of Granite Mountain. The lookout was manned by a friendly volunteer who showed me and others around. Very nice flower show around 4500-5000 feet in elevation:
Eric, nice photos. I have been to Granite Mountain and surrounding country. Keeletan Lake is at the base of Keeletan Pk. I was there a number of years ago. I don't have my old slides scanned, so don't have any photos on Pbase of many of my hikes on the west side of the Cascades.
