Dear Chistina,

My journey through Albania only lasted only two days, because I had an
appointment in Greece.
Actually, I also would like to go there again. I agree with You that it is a very unique place with a rich but unknown culture. There is so much to explore out there and people were very
friendly and helpful. Especially I would like to go to the sea side... However, next time I
should come with a jeep ;-), though, I expect the roads will improve very much in the next years.

In my opinion Tirana is a good place to go. Elbasan I found very industrial, but I just drove
through it and so didn't see much of it. In particular I loved the valleys in the north near Shkoder (the picture gives an impression). Also Ochrid, which is in Macedonia, just across the border is a nice place to go (especially if You like nature).

I just have to say that your pictures are absolutely beautiful. I was in Albania in September'04, and your pictures remind me of my trip. And how I wish that I had taken more photos!
My jouneys began in Tirana, down to Elbasan, to Saranda and then back up to Tirana, thru Elbasan again. I'm American and I went to visit with my fiancee (he's Albanian). I enjoyed myself so much, that I almost didn't want to leave! Honestly...
Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos, typically pictures of Albania try to show not the beauty or uniquness of the country, but rather a place that is so far behind the rest of the world... when in reality, it possess something that's so great and untouched. Pure and innoscent.
Thanks again...
