Plato is a walled plain crater with a smooth floor pocked by only a handful of small visible craters. It is about 100 kilometers across. This photo was taken with an Imaging Source firewire camera, a 10-inch Newtonian and a 16mm Brandon eyepiece. It is a combination of about 350 frames processed and aligned in Keith's Image Stacker, a program for Mac computers.
