North American Nebula, NGC-7000

This was taken from my light-polluted backyard in suburban Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2004. I used a Nikon F3, E200 film, and a Nikon 300mm f/2.8 lens with a 1.4x teleconverter, for a focal length of 420mm at f/4. The night was extremely transparent, but my limiting exposure time was only 20 minutes. I took seven images, scanned them and stacked the images after adjusting the levels and contrast in Photoshop.

Interesting frames and well done on the stacking. Are you still shooting film on occasion? Great detail on the subtle areas of the nebula.
