The Vision Theater in Leimert Park was originally named the Leimert Theater. It was built through a partnership of Howard Hughes and Harold B. Franklin, then president of Fox West Coast Theaters. Construction began in September of 1931 and was completed in February 1932. The Vision is one of the few remaining grand Art Deco theaters in Los Angeles currently in use.
