Close up Macro

In my experience with close up and macro photography, I've discovered a whole new fascinating world. Not that I didn't take notice of birds or insects before, but now I am be able to see them in a totally different way. I don't even have to leave our backyard to find some of the most amazing little critters not to mention the birds that visit us here... Kookaburras, Magpies, Lorikeets, Galahs, Rosellas, King Parrots, Corellas, Butcherbirds and even the downright annoying Noisy Miners. I've spent hours with the macro lens crawling around the little reserve between our back fence and the next estate, and in our own garden, to photograph a great collection of spiders, bees and various insects. It's exciting to eventually see ones efforts on the computer screen... to be delighted and intrigued by those details we don't see with the naked eye.
