Super Soup, La Avion Restaurant, Quepos

Though not a big seafood lover, I was completely stunned by this soup which had 4 (!) different types of mussles, lobster tail, mini-calamari and octopus, sea weeds, 5 (!) different types of shrimps and bunch of another marine things which I don't even know the names, holy smokes ! It went exceptionally well with "Sex on the beach" cocktail !

Caroline... what else is offered in your farm aside of soup ? I will come regardless, just wondering out of curiosity ?

but often yes.....take a peek at to the edge of the dish..... better if i'll invite you to my farm ...... i dont throw anything out of the edge ;)

I should agree that waiters in this place are not up to snap, yet one could forgive their sloppiness as the culinary talents of the chef compensate any messes that they create. No spontaneous visits to sanitary facilities were recorded after consumption of this fabulous soup and accompanied cocktail !

Apart from the pretty bit in the middle it looks revolting! Now, I preach it's not what food looks like, but what it tastes like...to fussy family, but I would hesitate over this...especially if it contained a bunch of unknown things. Doesn't help that an inefficient waiter.....(or diner?) has slopped it all over the place. Still, I suppose you were so very excited by the prospect of your cocktail that you downed this mess without much thought. Just think of soup & cocktail contents swilling around together in your stomach....yuk!

Yah, I agree about cocktail , but believe me or not I was desinclined to even use the camera while enjoying moments that the very idea about HDR and multiple exposures would've made me puke, LOL !

Hello Eldar. The soup, photographically, looks exquisite... and matches your particularly detailed description. But the drink in the background, "Sex on the beach" is SO HOT (probably the Tabasco sauce in the background), it has become a bit over exposed....almost as if it was about to erupt like a volcano. Dinner in this restaurant must have been quite an orgasmic experience.... Ciao, Michael.
