MORION or AMETHYST ?

A very lustrous cactus quartz crystal from Boekenhout, Mpumalanga Province, South Africa.
The crystal is 4,8 cm tall and looks black in day light, but it has a very dark amethyst color.
This happens when I put the light behind the Crystal.
